Grant Madden currently works as a Bill to Cash Analyst in the Finance Department of the Crop Science Division for Bayer. Prior to working for Bayer, Grant worked as a Grant Manager for Methodist College of Nursing, a Financial Advisor with WestPoint Financial Group, and a Risk Management Specialist with Children’s Home Association of Peoria. Grant also worked as a Firefighter and EMT with Germantown Hills Fire Department for over 10 years.

Grant received his dual Bachelor’s in Political Science and History from Eureka College where he also enjoyed swimming competitively and in his Senior Year was the MVP of the Eureka Swim Team. He received his Master’s in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Springfield, while attending Graduate School at UIS, Grant worked as a GPSI Intern with the Illinois Department of Public Health, managing a $2 million dollar annual Nursing Scholarship program, Grant was instrumental in developing a modern database for managing the scholarship program’s records during his time with the IDPH. 

 

Grant is a lifetime member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and an Eagle Scout. He currently serves as the Chapter Advisor for Lambda Chi Alpha at Eureka College for the past 8 years. He also serves as a positional advisor for the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at Illinois State University and was a part of its re-colonization four years ago. 

Grant and his wife, Thomasina, have recently started to foster youth in care with their adopted pup, Casper. They, together with Casper, have previously fostered puppies and dogs from a local no kill shelter. Grant enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and shares his love of video games through his Youtube channel. 

Grant is a native to the Tri-County area having graduated from Metamora High School. He and his family currently reside in Peoria.
