Board Member Application

Thank you for your interest in joining our Board of Directors!

Our board currently consists of 4 voting members and 1 liaision. We would love to see this increase to 7 voting members.

Requirements of Board Members:

• No knowledge of Foster care system needed, just a passion for helping the population
• Be respectful, share your opinions, knowledge, and help serve to the best of your ability.
• Attend all monthly board meetings & notfiy President if you are unable to attend (Must attend 10/12 to remain an active board member).
• We ask each board member to make a donation (one-time - suggested $1,000 or split into monthly donations) to Foster Village Peoria when they join the Board
  • Note: Board members can volunteer to coordinate a donation drive at a business or church instead of making a large donation. Please email cheriz@FosterVillagePeoria.org for more information.
• We ask board members to volunteeer in at least one aspect, either flexible volunteering, serve on a committee, or help in another aspect.
• The board terms can run between 1 to 3 years, depending on individual.

Our board meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00-7:00pm. 

While Board Applications are voted on at December meeting for 2024, the applications will remain open throughout the year!
